Marleny Luna is Dominican, actress, writer, spoken word poet, TV/radio host, Zumba Instructor and fitness model. Luna uses her writing as an outlet for self-expression—writing about issues that affect the Latina woman—some of her work explores: Immigration issues, self-identity/acceptance and expectations for being “mujer.” Luna’s work can be found in English, Spanish and “Spanglish.” Some of her poetry can be found in

Feeling Luna-Tica and the author of
The Power of Language –El Documental, a documentary done in 2008.
