The workshop will help you think about how oral history best practices supports active listening, ethical practice, memory, use of of primary sources, and the archive as a future history. You will learn the difference between story collecting, capturing personal stories, and oral history.
NOTE: This is the first of a series of four workshops, which will conclude with a MeetUp in at the end of April. The workshop is for those who are interested in starting their own oral history project and the MeetUp will bring together oral history practitioners.
Workshop fee: $12 per person. Advanced registration is required.
