I am a Latina children’s book illustrator based in Providence, RI.

Born overseas to a Mexican father and Korean mother, I lived the military family life while growing up on Air Force bases. Books and art supplies were the friends I could take with me on my moves. I later studied at the Rhode Island School of Design on scholarships and graduated with a degree in illustration.

I am fiercely proud to be creating work for children that reflects my cultural heritage. Children’s books I’ve illustrated have been honored by the Mom’s Choice Awards, the Tejas Star Book Awards, Foreword Magazine, the Northeastern MN Book Awards, and the Midwest Booksellers Association. My artwork can be found in the permanent collection of the Children’s Literature Research Collections in Minneapolis, MN.

Each year I give a number of presentations at schools, libraries, conferences for writers and illustrators of children's literature, book festivals, and other events. My slideshows, lectures, and art demonstrations have been enthusiastically received by students and adults alike. I absolutely love doing school visits and other illustrator appearances, please contact me for availability and rates.
